Product Overview
Tef-Gel is a white, extremely high viscosity gel. It is applied to fastenings, fittings and electrical connectors in high corrosive environments to ensure protection, serviceability & presentation of assembled hardware. Original ULTRA Tef-Gel 20cc syringe lubricates and eliminates corrosion between dissimilar metals by preventing saltwater electrolytes from getting to the surface of those connecting metals. Preventing seizing, galling, and friction welding of stainless steel, Inconel, Aluminum, and other nickel alloys. Tef-Gel paste contains 40% PTFE powder and 0% volatile solvents, no silicones or petroleum solvents to evaporate, which would leave voids for electrolytes to be drawn into creating a galvanic cell. When both surfaces are coated and mated with Tef-Gel there are no voids for electrolytes (saltwater) to be drawn in by capillary action over extended periods of time.
Prevent water intrusion around fasteners and closely bedded hardware with this synthetic based PTFE waterproof lubricant with anti-corrosion and anti-seize properties. Especially useful for preventing galvanic corrosion and seizing of stainless steel screws used to mount hardware to aluminum surfaces. Tef-Gel® contains no volatile solvents, will not evaporate, dry out, or wash away in saltwater or detergent, providing long lasting protection and ease of disassembly years later.
